Until the 1960s, most fireplaces were built without a throat damper to seal off the chimney. A top-sealing damper is a simple, cost-effective way to seal the chimney and stop those dollars from leaving your home. It's also a great replacement for warped, rusted and leaky throat dampers.
Our top-sealing dampers are 304 stainless steel, with a stainless aircraft cable that runs inside the flue from the cap down to an easy-to-reach handle in the firebox. We'll help you pick the right model and make sure it fits, with or without the bird guard and spark screen.

Does your chimney have a water leak?
The crown covers and seals the top of the chimney, from the flue liner to the edge. Most masonry chimneys are built with a crown made from common mortar mix, which cracks, chips and breaks down under years of Arizona weather. Water then gets in and erodes the bricks and mortar below.
We coat the crown with a flexible, elastomeric waterproof sealant that forms a seamless, textured layer and protects it for years. If the crown only has small cracks and holes, we fill and seal just those spots.
